On October 21st, in the US West Bank time zone, representatives of LittlePay Technology revealed that the crowdfunding for their 8K VR headset had surpassed the $2 million mark on Kickstarter. This is the fourth time the company has announced an extended goal, showing strong support from global backers.
With 33 days into the campaign, the project has raised $2.04 million and attracted over 3,216 supporters from around the world. Notably, nearly half of these backers are targeting the smaller 8K VR model, with many being new users who signed up specifically for this product.

The original crowdfunding goal was exceeded within just one hour of the campaign launching. It then continued to break through multiple milestones—$500,000, $1 million, $1.5 million, and finally $2 million. The 8K VR project has now set a new record in terms of both regional reach and speed, making it one of the most surprising Chinese VR products of the year. According to official information from LittlePay Technology, the 8K VR headset features two 4K display panels, delivering a combined binocular resolution of 2*3840*2160. This results in approximately eight times the pixel count of current mainstream 2K VR headsets. Additionally, the field of view has been expanded from the standard 110 degrees to a remarkable 200 degrees, approaching the human eye’s natural range and significantly enhancing immersion.
The issue of motion sickness, which many users face with traditional VR devices, has also been addressed in the 8K model. Through advanced screen control and software algorithms, the overall latency has been reduced to under 15ms. In the VR industry, anything below 20ms is considered acceptable, while less than 18ms is considered excellent. Achieving under 15ms places the 8K VR at the elite level globally.
The headset also includes a sub-millimeter precision positioning system called PITracking, allowing users to play high-quality VR games on Steam. The design incorporates wireless modules, gesture recognition, VR-compatible myopia lenses, cooling fans, and even olfactory simulation features. These enhancements make the 8K VR not just a device, but a full-featured experience that appeals to true VR enthusiasts.

During the crowdfunding period, LittlePay Technology’s team held several offline events across the U.S., Japan, South Korea, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK. Fans traveled long distances to participate, with one man driving over a dozen hours to bring his child for an experience. Among them was an 11-year-old boy who became one of the early backers.
