Asphalt Levitation Tester

Main Features:

1. This asphalt levitation tester is designed and manufactured in accordance with national industry standards, specifically following the requirements outlined in "Testing Procedures for Asphalt and Asphalt Mixtures for Highway Engineering" (JTJ052) and the "Asphalt Floatation Test" (T0631). It is ideal for measuring the floatation of residues such as bitumen and coal tar after distillation of slow-setting liquid petroleum pitch.

2. The device measures the time it takes for a sample to gradually soften and then break through the water in a specified floater. This process is conducted at a set temperature. Unless otherwise stated, the test temperature for residue after distillation is 50°C, while for coal tar, it can be either 32°C or 50°C, depending on the application.

3. In addition to its primary function, the instrument can also serve as a constant temperature water bath when not used for asphalt floatation testing. This versatility makes it a valuable tool in various laboratory settings.
