A True System-on-Chip Solution for 2.4-GHz IEEE 802.15.4 and ZigBee Applications

The CC2530 is a comprehensive SoC solution tailored for IEEE 802.15.4, ZigBee, and RF4CE protocols. It allows for the creation of robust network nodes at a very low cost. Combining a high-performance RF transceiver with an enhanced 8051 microcontroller, in-system programmable flash memory, 8KB of RAM, and other advanced features, the CC2530 offers flexibility and efficiency. It comes in four flash versions—CC2530F32, CC2530F64, CC2530F128, and CC2530F256—with corresponding flash sizes of 32KB, 64KB, 128KB, and 256KB. Its multiple power modes make it especially suitable for low-power applications, with fast transitions between modes to further reduce energy consumption.

When paired with Texas Instruments' industry-leading Z-Stack ZigBee protocol stack, the CC2530F256 delivers a complete and reliable ZigBee solution. Similarly, when used with the golden-unit-status RemoTI stack, the CC2530F64 and higher variants provide a strong and full RF4CE remote control solution.
