UHV transmission opens new energy artery

Energy is the "motivation" for the operation of the national economy. Safeguarding the country's energy security is a top priority for development. Since the reform and opening up, especially since the 18th National Congress of the People's Republic of China, China has built a number of major energy corridors without any precedent. It is of great significance to open up traffic barriers in the eastern and western regions and promote rational flow of energy.

From Western Xinjiang to Eastern Shanghai, the construction of the West-East Gas Pipeline, the Second and Third-Line Pipeline Projects by China National Petroleum Corporation is like three giant dragons, further improving China’s energy structure; from Hami South to Zhengzhou ±800 kV UHVDC transmission projects, etc. The UHV project represented by it effectively solves the contradiction between coal and electricity transportation and solves the problem of energy delivery and consumption. The upgrading of offshore oil and gas exploration and development technology capabilities provides new options for the national energy strategy.

The "gasification China" major project

On August 25th, the final weld at the Guazhou Station on the 3rd line of the West-East Gas Pipeline marked the opening of the western section of the 3rd West-East Gas Pipeline. After the West Section project is completed and put into production, natural gas from Central Asia and Xinjiang Coal-to-Natural Gas will be transported through Zhongwei Station to the West-East Gas Pipeline and the Second Line, the Shaanxi-Beijing System, and the Zhonggui Line; the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, and the Bohai Sea and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Loop. Several hundred million people in Sichuan and Chongqing will benefit from this.

The West-East Gas Pipeline Project is a landmark project for the development of the western region and is the “energy artery” of contemporary China. The criss-crossing gas pipeline transports natural gas to the motherland.
