Such changes have also occurred in the Zengshan Tunnel and the Jinshanzhai Tunnel. Yesterday, the author learned from the highway department that the three tunnels around the island have completed the energy-saving renovation of LED lights.
The total length of the round-the-island trunk road tunnel group (Zengshan, Jinshanzhai and Huanghuan tunnels) is about 8 kilometers. This lighting energy-saving retrofit replaces the original 5,609 tunnel fluorescent lamp tubes one-to-one with LED tubes, and 365 sets of enhanced lighting are also replaced with LED tunnel lights one by one. After the transformation, it can save more than 2.57 million degrees of electricity throughout the year, and the energy saving rate is as high as 54%.
At present, there are 11 tunnels in Xiamen for energy-saving renovation. The energy-saving renovation project of the Success Avenue Tunnel Group (æ¢§æ‘ Tunnel, Wanshishan Tunnel, Zhonggushan Tunnel) and Yunding Tunnel was completed at the end of 2013, and the renovation of the three tunnels around the main road was also completed successfully. At present, the Baicheng Tunnel, the Huweishan Tunnel, the Xinyang Tunnel and the Tianmashan Tunnel are undergoing renovation. The main project has been completed and is being commissioned for energy consumption assessment and comparison of illuminance before and after the renovation.
