PLC installation environment requirements

When designing the electrical cabinet and console, it should be carried out according to the requirements of the PLC for the installation environment, and pay attention to the following matters:

1, sealing and isolation

When high-voltage equipment and strong interference equipment (such as high-power thyristors, high-frequency induction heaters, high-frequency welding equipment, etc.) are used in the system, the PLC should not be installed in the same electrical cabinet as the above equipment. When it is unavoidable, it should be isolated inside the electrical cabinet through measures such as high voltage protection and electromagnetic shielding.

In principle, the electrical control cabinet and the control console should be sealed, and the heat dissipation space requirements after sealing should be considered at the same time. The internal space of the electric control cabinet and console should not only ensure the installation of electrical components, but also ensure that there is sufficient heat dissipation area. In the harsh working environment, it is best to install air conditioners or heat exchangers to help dissipate heat.

2, installation space

The installation height of the electrical control cabinet, the console, the handling height, the insulation spacing of the internal electrical components, electrical protection measures, etc. must be implemented in accordance with international, national and industry standards, and ergonomic principles.

The design of the electric control cabinet and console should first ensure that there is sufficient installation and maintenance space inside to ensure the space distance between the PLC and other electrical appliances, and ensure that the installation site is well ventilated.

3. Installation location

For the installation of PLC electrical cabinets, vibration should be avoided as much as possible. For electrical cabinets and consoles that must be installed on the equipment, the location should be installed away from the vibration source of the equipment (such as high-power motor and hydraulic station). When vibration cannot be avoided, vibration reduction measures are required.
