MAX19997A dual-channel down-conversion mixer

The MAX19997A dual-channel down-conversion mixer is a general-purpose, highly integrated, and versatile down-converter that provides high linearity performance and low noise figure for 1800MHz to 2900MHz base station applications. The MAX19997A fully supports the low-end and high-end LO injection architectures in WiMAX â„¢, LTE, WCS, and MMDS wireless infrastructure applications from 2300MHz to 2900MHz. The low-end configuration provides 8.7dB gain, + 24dBm input IP3, and 10.3dB NF. It can provide 8.7dB gain, + 24dBm input IP3 and 10.4dB NF. An additional tuning element (bypass inductor) is added to each RF port to further extend the range of high-end LO injection architecture down to 1800MHz.

The device integrates an unbalanced transformer at the RF and LO ports. In addition, the device includes an LO buffer, two double balanced mixers, and a pair of differential IF output amplifiers. The MAX19997A requires a LO drive with a typical value of 0dBm, and the power supply current is guaranteed to be less than 420mA to achieve the expected linearity index.

The MAX19997A is available in a compact 6mm x 6mm, 36-pin, thin QFN lead-free package with exposed pad. In the extended temperature range of TC = -40 ° C to + 85 ° C, electrical performance is guaranteed.
