In the first half of the year, Midea’s operating revenue was 46.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19%, and net profit attributable to the parent company was 2.6 billion yuan, an increase of 25% year-on-year; gross margin was 22.5%, up 1.3 percentage points year-on-year.

In the first half of the year, the overall listing of Midea Electric Group entered the final stage and it is expected to complete the overall listing in September. The company's stocks will be suspended from August 15th, and will be followed by procedures for the distribution of cash options, declaration of exercise rights, liquidation of settlement rights and other procedures. Upon completion, the name of the securities will be converted into Midea Group. The company recently announced that no investor has exercised cash options.

The company stated that although the energy-saving subsidy policy is withdrawn, the new energy efficiency standards implemented on October 1st will further promote market-oriented competition and industry concentration, and industry leaders will rely on the advantages of technology and channels to gain greater market share.

In the first half of the year, the company achieved operating revenue of 42.971 billion yuan and net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company of 2.131 billion yuan, an increase of 6.18% and 15.03% year-on-year, respectively, achieving a gross margin of 24.76%.

During the reporting period, the company actively explored the creation of a commercial ecosystem in the Internet era, promoted interactions with users through an open information platform and networked big data, accelerated product and technology innovation, continued to maintain product and technology leading advantages, and ensured the company’s refrigerators. The market share of the washing machine and water heater business continued to be the first in the industry; the air-conditioning business achieved rapid growth and its market share steadily increased.

In terms of integrated channel business, the company strengthened the integration of virtual and real networks and enhanced the market response speed. It has provided nationwide logistics services for multiple industries and successfully attracted five e-commerce customers such as Taobao and Amazon to enter the daily logistics platform. The company also actively promotes the development of e-commerce business, centering on the theme of product customization, and integrating R&D and production capabilities offline, and promoting C2B modularization customization.
