The global industrial automation market was valued at $225 billion in 2017, representing a 30% increase compared to 2013. Despite this growth, China's industrial automation sector has developed more slowly due to late entry into the field and limited accumulation of core technologies. As a result, high-end products are still largely imported, with international giants such as Siemens, KUKA, ABB, Yaskawa, and Fanuc dominating a large portion of the domestic market.
**1. Huichuan Technology**
In 2017, the company reported a net profit of 429 million yuan, up by 10% compared to the previous year. In the first half of 2017, Huichuan Technology saw total revenue reach 1.937 billion yuan, an increase of 32.24% year-on-year. Operating profit rose by 38.57%, reaching 471 million yuan, while net profit attributable to shareholders increased by 10.31% to 429 million yuan. Key business segments performed well, including general automation (up 90%), elevator integration (up 18%), electro-hydraulic servo (up 31%), and industrial robots, which saw mass sales. Meanwhile, new energy vehicle business declined by 48%, and rail transit business grew by 15.43%.

Lanhai Huateng reported a 146.23% increase in net profit for the first half of 2017. Its operating income reached 294 million yuan, up 14.39% year-on-year. This growth was mainly driven by electric vehicle electronic control products, which generated 233 million yuan in revenue, up 16.41%, and medium and low voltage inverter revenue, which rose by 14.36% to 55 million yuan.
**3. Yingweiteng**
Yingweiteng achieved revenue of 884 million yuan in the first half of 2017, a 56.42% increase year-on-year, with net profit rising by over 200%. This performance far exceeded the average growth rate of 2.31% for the electrical equipment industry. The company has been streamlining operations by phasing out underperforming businesses and focusing on its core areas, which should lead to improved net profit margins in the coming periods.
**4. Huazhong CNC**
Huazhong CNC reported operating income of 402 million yuan in the first half of 2017, up 43.69% year-on-year. While operating profit was negative at -37.843 million yuan, it showed an improvement of 36.67% compared to the previous year. Net profit reached 3.3447 million yuan, a 107.63% increase. The machine tool segment saw a 48.56% rise in revenue, and the motor segment grew by 47.70%. The industrial robot segment experienced rapid growth, with revenue jumping 398.60% to 255.5929 million yuan.
