1 Introduction

A new chapter in the 21st century has been opened and the WTO has come quietly. China's professional manufacturer of tire shaping machinery, how to face the challenges of foreign counterparts? China's rubber machinery industry's well-known products, how to seize the opportunity into the world's advanced ranks? Every Chinese rubber machine must face the problem, constantly update the concept, absorb the world's advanced technology, boldly adopt high-tech products is our only way out. As a high-tech product, the touch screen has been widely used in tire shaping vulcanizers, and it has become an imperative issue, especially as a paving stone for future computer networking.

2 touch screen introduction

The touch screen is an abbreviation of touch-type industrial graphic display. It is a human-machine interface (known as HMI abroad) that connects humans and machines (mainly PLC) and is called the face of PLC. It is an intelligent operation display that replaces the traditional control panel and keyboard. Can be used for parameter setting and data display. The automatic control process is depicted in the form of curves, animations, etc., and the PLC control program can be simplified.

The main role of the touch screen is: monitoring and control.

Surveillance - reflects the internal bit status and memory values ​​of the PLC in various forms such as data, curves, graphs, animations, etc., thereby visually reflecting the flow and direction of the industrial control system.

Control - The PLC's internal bit status, memory values ​​can be changed via touch screen operation and thus participate in process control.

Taking the 1310II radial tire vulcanizer produced by Bridgestone Tire Corporation of Huizhou as an example, the application of the touch screen is briefly introduced.

3 basic system configuration

4 outside connection

Since the touch screen and the PLC were installed at different locations during field installation, the MT-FX2N cable we chose was 10 meters. Under normal circumstances, PLC's CPU module has only one programming communication port, and the PLC and touch screen must be connected to the cable during normal operation. This is very inconvenient for PLC program transmission and debugging, so we chose a dual-port adapter to connect the cable to the dual One port of the mouth adapter, and the other port is used for programming.

5 Editing screen

Each brand of touch screen has its own picture creation software. In this example, the screen production software corresponding to the MT508T series touch screen is Easybuilder 2.7.2

5.1 Screen Profile

Turn on the working power, the touch screen automatically displays the main screen (as shown in Figure 2)

· The day of production is displayed in the upper left corner. The current system clock of the touch screen is displayed in the upper right corner.
The machine number is the number of the vulcanizer. The operator can enter his own job number or code number.
• The displayed process number and vulcanization specification are selected by the "Edit Interface" menu.
· The total time of vulcanization is displayed in a countdown mode, and the delay time is not counted. When the delay vulcanization button is pressed, the system displays the delayed vulcanization time in a countdown manner according to the ongoing vulcanization process. At this time, the total vulcanization time is stopped and the count is maintained until the delayed sulfur time is zero and the time is continued. Sulfur delay time is set by the operator according to each vulcanization state by "plus" and "minus" buttons.
• Step number shows the ongoing vulcanization step. The step time shows the step time in a countdown manner. Above the “position feedback” there is a row of indicators showing the status of the vulcanization valve corresponding to the step number.
· The left and right capsule counts show their respective uses. After replacing the capsule, press the "Clear" button to clear the last count.
Internal pressure, internal temperature, external pressure, and external temperature display the corresponding measured parameters of the PLC analog module.
Position feedback shows the mold opening in the form of a bar graph. The right figure is the current value of the rotary encoder. The lower row of indicators is divided into several sections by the PLC. When the output of the rotary encoder is located in this section, the corresponding The indicator light is on.
• A row of valid touch keys is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Selecting and gently pressing any touch key will enter the corresponding screen menu.

5.2 screen switching

When the "password" key of the home screen is pressed, the touch screen screen will be refreshed to the screen shown in FIG.

Note: In order to ensure the normal operation of the vulcanizing machine, especially to ensure that some of the process parameters and formulations can not be arbitrarily modified. Therefore, if you make this screen, you must enter the correct password to enter other operations. If the password is incorrect, it will return to the main screen.

After the password is correct, the password can be reset with the middle row number key. Press the "Exit" button to return to the main screen and press the "Edit" button to enter the "Edit Screen" shown in Figure 4.

For some complex or confidential processes, multi-level passwords can be created on this screen.

Explanation:

· First enter the process number (00-99), then set the vulcanization specification and step time according to different processes, then enter the total number of steps, press the "OK" button will automatically accumulate "total vulcanization time."
·Press "Valve Setting", the screen will refresh as shown in Figure 5, according to the process requirements set the corresponding valve action for each step, check the error, press "Back" button to return to "Edit Interface", enter the operator code, press "OK" button.
· Press "Next" to edit multiple sets of vulcanization process.
• Press "Process Selection", enter the process number that will be vulcanized, and press "OK" to return to the main screen with "Back".

Explanation:

• According to the corresponding sequence of each process, press the corresponding valve button lightly, and press the "OK" button after checking. (If there is any error, reset it with "Clear" button).
• Press the "Next" button to set the next step valve action using the above method.
· If screen space allows, Figure 4 and Figure 5 can be combined into one picture.

5.3 Other different screen descriptions

(1) PLC monitoring: Monitor the status of the input/output address of the PLC with indicators. If the status is "ON", the indicator lights up.
(2) Operational information: Briefly describe the operation procedure and operation method of the vulcanizer.
(3) Alarm display: Monitor the alarm parameters of the vulcanizer (such as pressure, temperature, lubrication, and lack of oil) with the flash.
(4) Output display: Shows the vulcanization output of the vulcanizer.

6 Transfer screen

Make a good picture using Wei Lun company's dedicated transmission cable, set the PLC brand and model in Easybuilder 2.7.2 software, and then set the touch screen model. Click the transfer command to upload the screen to the touch screen.

7 Operation

In linkage operation with the PLC, all display contents (including touch keys, indicator lights, timers, counters, etc.) should be exactly the same as those of the PLC. Connect the touch screen and PLC with a communication cable to operate.

8 Conclusion

As tire technology and formulas are constantly updated, it is required that the automatic control technology of the vulcanizer should also be continuously innovated and improved.
