LED lighting market is looking forward to summer improvement

In fact, the recovery of the LED downstream industry has long been recognized by the capital market. Since the beginning of this year, the A-share LED sector has made gains. The logic behind the rise in stock prices is that the performance of listed companies has stabilized.

According to statistics, the 25 LED major listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen have a total operating income of 48.809 billion yuan in 2012, a year-on-year increase of 9%. The total net profit is 3.933 billion yuan, a year-on-year decline of 18%; in the first quarter of this year, these 25 companies The company's total operating income was 9.889 billion yuan, an increase of 12% year-on-year, and the total net profit was 719 million yuan, a year-on-year decline of 3%. The scale of the industry continues to grow, and the downward trend in earnings has slowed.

Specifically, the net profit performance of the midstream packaging and downstream application companies is better than that of the upstream chip companies, which is mainly due to factors such as serious overcapacity of the upstream chip and low operation rate of the enterprise.

A research report by China Merchants Securities showed that both chips and packaging plants have entered full-load status. Order visibility has reached 1 to 3 months, which is much better than the normal level. Some companies have even voluntarily waived orders.

“In the past, the industry expected the market to break out in 2015. Now I feel it is conservative and I have to advance to 2013.” Zhang Chao, director of East China Region of the Lighting Division of Mulinsen Co., Ltd., expressed optimism about the development of the LED lighting market.

Experts also agree with this. Since the beginning of February this year, the signs of the LED lighting market have been very clear. It is expected that there will be a full-scale outbreak in the second and third quarter of this year.

The order of Philips Lumileds in the middle reaches of the industry is also a steady stream of orders this year. Zhou Xuejun, the company's marketing director for Asia, said that the second plant in Penang, Malaysia, has started production last year, but orders on hand are still too busy.
