The three major aspects of future LED lighting R&D technology

As outdoor applications, high-power LED lamps not only have to solve the problems of uniformity and brightness, but also have certain requirements in terms of light distribution. That is, the coverage area should be large enough and the light can be stretched left and right. Only in this way can we achieve true awareness of LED lighting, combined with the current status of application of LED high-power outdoor lighting, future technology research and development will focus on the following major aspects:

First, improve light extraction efficiency and luminous flux, reduce package thermal resistance, improve secondary optical design, and increase the brightness of LED light sources;

Second, to strengthen the research and development of LED chips, to achieve the independence of core technologies, and further reduce the cost of LED lighting;

Third, strengthen the research and development of the power system. High-power LED lamps need constant-current driving power to ensure the constant output power of LED lamps, especially the unstable supply of power supply voltage in China, which is even more important.
