Seoul Viosys and US SETi launch new product MOSCLEAN mosquito trap

Seoul Viosys and US Sensor Electronics Technologies (SETi) jointly launched the MOSCLEAN mosquito trap. Seoul's Viosys says the new mosquito traps capture more than ten times as many mosquitoes as traditional mosquito traps. MOSCLEAN uses SETi's UV led light source to attract mosquitoes. Seoul's Viosys pointed out that independent research has proved that MOSCLEAN mosquito traps are very effective in capturing Aedes albopictus and Aedes aegypti, which are related to the recent outbreak of Zika virus. Now MOSCLEAN is priced at $34.95 online.

Dr. Philip Kohler of the University of Florida recently confirmed that MOSCLEAN showed better performance in eliminating Aedes aegypti than traditional UV traps. Dr. Kohler said: "These breakthrough results are very exciting and help to control and reduce the spread of this degenerative disease."

Dr. Daniel Rubino conducted an independent study at the University of Hawaii, proving that MOSCLEAN is very effective against all types of mosquitoes. According to Seoul's Viosys, these laboratory studies combined with actual tests have shown that MOSCLEAN can capture more mosquitoes than traditional light mosquito traps.

Traditional mosquito control solutions use ultraviolet "near-ultraviolet" lights to attract mosquitoes to high-voltage metal grids.
