LCD Monitor Introduction

The LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) liquid crystal display is a display using a liquid crystal material. Liquid crystals are organic compounds between solid and liquid states. Heating it will turn into a transparent liquid, which will turn into a crystalline cloudy solid after cooling. Under the action of the motor, cold and heat changes occur, thereby affecting its light transmission, to achieve the effect of lightening and quenching.

Common liquid crystal displays are classified into four types: TN-LCD, STN-LCD, DSTN-LCD, and TFT-LCD. Among them, TN-LCD, STN-LCD and DSTN-LCD have the same three display principles, but the twist angle of the liquid crystal molecules is different.

TN-LCD: (Twisted Nematic) liquid crystal molecular twist angle of 90 degrees,

STN: (Super TN) The meaning of S is that of Super, that is, the twist angle of the liquid crystal molecules is increased by 180 degrees or 270 degrees, so that a superior display effect is achieved (because the contrast is increased).

DSTN: (Double layer STN) Its D means double layer double layer, so it is better than STN. Because the display panel structure of DSTN is more complex than TN and STN, the display quality is more delicate.

TFT: (Thin Film Transistor) is a new liquid crystal manufacturing process.

LCD liquid crystal displays are widely used in industrial control, especially the man-machine of some machines, the panel of complex control devices, the display of medical instruments and so on. Our company's EC5-1568, EC3-1566, PCC-3428, PCC-3358 all support LCD liquid crystal display. The resolution of LCD liquid crystal displays commonly used in industrial control and instrumentation is: 320x240, 640x480, 800x640, 1024x768 and above resolution screens, commonly used sizes are 3.9", 4.0", 5.0", 5.5", 5.6 ", 5.7", 6.0", 6.5", 7.3", 7.5", 10.0", 10.4", 12.3", etc. The colors are black and white, pseudo-color, 512 colors, 16-bit color, 24-bit color, etc.
